- Mix sugar and water in a pan and put it on low flame to make a sugar syrup. Let the sugar completely dissolve in the water and boil the syrup till a 1 taar ki chaashni is formed (1 thread). If there are impurities in the sugar syrup you can remove it with a spoon while the syrup boils.
- You can adjust the amount of sugar as per your wish. If you like extra sweet laddoos then you can take 3/4 cup of sugar and if you like less sugar then go in for 1/2 cup of sugar.
- Once the 1 taar ki chaashni is formed, switch off the flame. Add the Dessicated coconut, fresh coconut cut into small pieces, crushed cardamom powder, Chironji and muskmelon seeds. Mix all the ingredients
- The laddoos need to be formed when the mixture is hot/warm. If the mixture gets cold forming the laddoos would be difficult. In that case put the pan back on low flame and heat the mixture a bit and then form the laddoos.
- Make all the coconut laddoos this way. If you wish you can even add chopped dry fruits for extra flavour and crunch.
- Serve the laddoos on festivals or as a post meal dessert. Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for better shelf life.
