- 1 cup coconut milk
- 5-6 green chillies
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp mustard oil

- Paste the black,white mustard seeds, 1 green chilli to form a smooth paste Then filtered them in a bowl.


- Paste the grated coconut with little warm water & then filtered it to get coconut milk.


- Take a tiffin box, place washed fish pieces.Now massege the illish fishes with salt, turmeric powder.
- Then pour the filtered mustard paste, coconut milk, 1/4 cup luck warm water,2 tbsp mustard oil & the green chillies & mix well


- Take a kadai, add sufficient water & place the tiffin box in it.Steamed it for 1/2 an hour on high & then medium flame.

- If required add little water into the kadai slowly.



- After 1/2 an hour switch off the flame.Place the gravy over the fishes.



- Now have this awesome, delicious hot bhapa Ilish with steam rice, gandharaj lebu/ lemon & enjoy.
