  4. 6-7 red chillies
  5. Lemon size tamarind soaked in water

  9. For tempering
  10. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  11. 2 red chillies
  12. 1 tsp urad dal/black gram
  13. 2 tsp chana dal

  15. 3 tbsp ground nuts
  16. 3 tbsp oil

  1. Firstly cook rice adding 1tsp oil and a little salt, rice should be grainy, do not overcook, now take a blender add red chilies, turmeric, tamarind soaked in water, mustard seeds, jaggery, and blend everything together to a fine paste.
  2. Keep a large wok on medium flame add oil to heat up, add mustard seeds let it splutter, add chana dal, urad dal, and groundnuts fry until it turns to light brown add red chilies and curry leaves saute it for two minutes, now add ground masala, saute it on low flame until it starts to release oil.
  3. Now lower the flame add cooked rice combine masala and rice well..add a little more salt if required mix well & Serve hot.
