- 1 1/2 cup Freshly Grated Coconut
- 3/4 cup Coriander Leaves
- 3-4 Green Chillies
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 1 1/2 inch Ginger
- 2 tbsp Roasted Chana Dal
- 1 1/2 tbsp Tamarind Pulp
- 5-6 Curry Leaves
- as per taste Salt
- For Tempering:
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 3/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Chana Dal
- 3/4 tsp Urad Dal
- 10-12 Curry Leaves
Steps to make South Indian Green Coconut Chutney
- Firstly, gather all the ingredients. Add all the ingredients into a blender alongwith water and grind it into a smooth paste. Transfer this paste into a bowl.

- For the tempering, heat oil in a tadka pan. Add mustard and cumin seeds and allow it to crackle. Then add urad dal and chana dal and fry until golden color.



- Add curry leaves and fry for few seconds.


- Finally, pour the tempering over the prepared green chutney. Mix it well.



- Delicious South Indian Green Coconut Chutney is ready. Serve it with idlis, dosa, vada, upma, appam etc.
