- 1 part raw rice
- 1/4 th tsp Fenugreek seeds

- 1/2 tbsp coriander seeds

- 1 tbsp chana dal
- 1/2 cup peanuts
- 1/2 coconut (chopped)
- Small piece of deseeded tamarind (adjust as needed)
- Water for grinding
- For tempering
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 dry red chillies
- Curry leaves (few)
- (Use standard measuring cups)

- Start by soaking urad dal and raw rice separately for atleast 5 hours. Next strain and wash both.
Next grind raw rice coarsely by adding water.

- For peanuts coconut chutney heat a kadhai with oil. Splutter coriander seeds, cumin seeds. Add dry red chillies, curry leaves and ginger. Saute for some time next put a dash of hing and cloves of garlic. Saute a little bit. Next add chana dal. Saute it too. Next add the peanuts.
Saute in slow heat till peanut is nicely fried. - Finally put chopped coconut. Put a small piece of desseded tamarind to give tanginess.
Mix. Switch the flame off and let the chutney mixture cool down. - As chutney mixture comes to room temperature, grind it smooth using water.
Transfer into a serving dish. - Prepare for tempering.
Heat a tadka pan with oil. Splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Add dry red chillies and curry leaves.
Put this tadka into the prepared chutney.
Give a gentle mix and serve. - Serve the crispy hot plain dosa with chutney/ sambar/ curry as per your preference
